America has always been deeply shaped by Protestant Christianity. Yet the old Protestant leadership class—once confident in its responsibility to guide the nation’s institutions—gradually abandoned the faith and surrendered those institutions to people increasingly hostile to both Christianity and America’s inherited national character.

I founded the Institute of Christian Politics to help lay the intellectual foundation for a renewal of serious Protestant leadership and to prepare gifted young men for responsible service in American institutions and public life.
